Volley4change programme continues to spread the message of volleyball to communities on Santo this week.

The team, led by Eunice Philemon, continues to work in partnership with UNICEF. It held activities on Thursday at Unity Park in the centre of Luganville.

Yesterday Philemon delivered another sport for development activity in Belbarav, in the Banban area.

The Volley4Change staff have been working tirelessly in support of the recovery effort in Luganville after Tropical Cyclone Harold swept through the Northern islands of Vanuatu in early April, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

The team immediately launched into recovery support mode in partnership with local charity Big Heart Island Vanuatu, led by long-time local resident and good friend of Vanuatu Volleyball, Mayumi Green.

The Category 5 cyclone impact was significant, devastating communities on seven of the 83 Vanuatu islands, with Espiritu Santo and Pentecost particularly hard hit.
