Players to respect match officials : VRU

Vanuatu Rugby Union calls on all players and officials to respect match officials.

This is following incidents during the 40th Independence tournament where players and officials were seen arguing , swearing and threatens to physical assault match officials which includes referee and two lines men .

VRU High Performance Unit manager Thomas Bruce reminded each clubs to practise the five values of rugby on and off the field.

”Reminder for players to respect officials as ‘Respect’ is one of values of World rugby.

”Other value is discipline on and off the field,” he added.
