The Womens rugby month 7s competition and touch rugby kicks off at Independence Park yesterday.

Teams which includes Ovins, Shepherds and newly formed team Warriors all came together at Independence Park for the start of competition which was opened by Vanuatu Rugby Union president John Miller and Head of Women’s Rugby Annie Kalo.

Speaking to the women yesterday Mr Miller said; “ We thank you ladies for coming to participate for your Women’s Rugby month.

“ After long time VRU is having a development officer and we grateful to women’s rugby for organising this month’s programme,” Miller said.

The women started with a touch rugby and 10s game.

The next round of games will be next Wednesday.
