The Ifira rugby 7s team have two weeks to polish up all their weaknesses before departing for Darwin, Australia on November 12.

Ifira will be sending two men’s teams for the Darwin 7s next month.

The team had a trial session with the national 7s team at Korman Stadium last Saturday. The national 7s team are preparing for the Oceania 7s championship which will be held in Fiji on November 7-9.

Assistant coach Kalsavi Kalfau said the team has been preparing well for the two days tourney.

“We have been preparing well for this tournament, for today(last Saturday) was our final trial where we selected 24 men for Darwin.

“The players are training hard and they are very skilful,” Kalfau said.

“There are few errors that we will need to work on and improve before we depart for Darwin.”
