Vanuatu Judo Federation development officer Joe Mahit strongly feels that year 2020 brought a lot of challenges but he will continue to teach the sport next year.

Passion is what drives the 2016 Olympian to continue with the sport he loves and that is to teach judo from grass root to senior level.

“This year was a challenging year.

“The highlight of this year is the kids competition in July and December,” Mahit added.

“The sad moment was no competition.

“The learning I will take from this year is coaching the kids, how to prepare my lesson and how to sent the message of judo to kids.”

2021 Plans

“My plan for 2021 is to still coaching the kids and keep training and do what I love with judo.”

Next year the sport will be preparing either for the World Championship or Grand Slam or the Oceania championship.
