I wonder what part domestic politics has played in the ongoing saga at USP, the regions premier institution of higher learning, particularly in regards to the attempt to sweep the findings of mismanagement by the past administration under the carpet? The rushed sacking of the current VC Professor Pal Ahluwalia is linked to that attempt.

Prof. Ahluwalia we recall had pledged at the time of his appointment to not shy away from dealing with the rot at the university. My critical thinking, acquired at that very same university, tells me his sacking is not coincidental.

It is pre-meditated and politically manipulated.
