Earlier this week, the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) received an award for participating in a three-day Cyber Safety Training held at Ramada resort.

The Cyber Safety Training, funded by the Australian Federal Police, aims to educate all 14 participants on conducting cyber safety awareness in communities.

The award received shows the appreciation and contribution which the police, through the Crime Prevention Unit, has provided over awareness conducted in schools and communities. This was done with reports sent to the Cyber Safety Pasifika Programme.

Four officers from the Vanuatu Police Force were part of the training.

Also present were police officers from the Pacific region: Fiji, Cook Islands, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, PNG, Nauru and Guam.
