Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) is considering the establishment of its Malekula branch soon.
This will be done after it secured the site for the Tanna office.
Construction of Tanna’s VNPF permanent office is expected to be completed next year, VNPF’s General Manager (GM) Parmod Achary conveyed.
He said the establishment of Malekula’s VNPF office and completion of Tanna’s office are part of initiatives to expand services.
GM Achary said his priorities following his appointment are strengthening contribution collection, legislative changes and enforcing the VNPF Act.
He said VNPF will be continue to increase coverage on the informal sector and ensure that it increases its shares in the National Bank of Vanuatu (NBV) to 60% as announced by the minister responsible.
The General Manager said VNPF’s major achievements so far include includes the setting up of the education support scheme, housing scheme with NBV and medical scheme that are soon to be complete.
