Vanuatu Tourism Limited taps into Chinese Market

The first group of tourists from China under the Vanuatu Tourism Limited (VTL)’s first tour are arriving in Port Vila today.

VTL, a local tourism company is pleased to announce its first 2018 tour and thanked all its partners in Vanuatu for making the first successful tour a reality.

Around 26 tourists are part of the first group. They come from different provinces in China and will tour Efate and Tanna during their one-week stay in Vanuatu.

The first delegation is part of around 1,000 visitors anticipated this year, this figure is expected to increase in 2019.

This is the beginning of a long-term arrangement to have visitors directly from China coming to Vanuatu and exploring local treasures that Vanuatu can offer to this new market.

It is also part of the agreement signed between the Vanuatu Government and the People’s Republic of China, to allow more visitors from China to come to Vanuatu.

The number of visitors will also increase in the next couple of month, once Bauerfield Airport is refurbished to allow bigger jet coming directly from China.
