Two die in accident

A tragic accident occurred last night around 10 o'clock at the entrance of the Rapid Electrical Vanuatu shop in Stade area where two men lost their lives.

Police told Daily Post last night that there were six passengers including the driver in the small Suzuki vehicle.

It is suspected that the accident occurred as a result of being intoxicated with alcohol and driving as bottles of alcoholic beverages were removed by police from the wreckage after the accident.

The front of the small Suzuki had hit a street light pole, hugging it, which indicates a high-speed impact.

The vehicle was travelling towards Wilco when it hit the street light pole.

Police, ProMedical, and Vila Central Hospital emergency service staff were present at the scene of the accident after the tragic incident.

After two of the passengers were determined to be dead by medical experts, the focus turned to save the lives of the others that sustained life-threatening injuries.

Those with serious injuries were transported by ambulance reportedly to the Vila Central Hospital for intensive care.
