Tabouti appointed Chairman of Teaching Service Commission

New Chairman for Teaching Service Commission

The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) has a new chairman.

He is Moulin Tabouti from the island of Malo.

Mr Tabouti replaces former TSC chairman, Derek Alexander.

He confirmed to the Daily Post that he received his appointment letter from the Head of State on Wednesday, November 6 2019.

Tabouti served as the Training Provider Support Coordinator at the Vanuatu Skills Partnership (VSP) Program funded by the Australian Government in Vanuatu for four years.

He was formerly the Manager of the SANMA Skills Center.

Mr Tabouti was a Training Manager at the Vanuatu Agriculture College (VAC) on Santo and Curriculum Development Officer for the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT).

He also served as the Deputy Principal of VIT and was the Head and Trainer of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

Furthermore, Mr Tabouti was a member of the Scholarship Board and Chairman of the SANMA Provincial Education Board. He was a committee member of a secondary school on his home island.

Daily Post understands former TSC Chairman Alexander will formally hand the responsibilities over to his successor next week.
