A “Stay Order” sought by the Speaker of Parliament Marcellino Pipite, was granted by the Court subject to the appeal of other judgment dated June 24th 2015.

In the event that the appeal is not determined by Thursday July 2, 2015, the Speaker of Parliament has been ordered to convene Parliament by 4pm on the same day.

But the Stay Order is conditional upon the Speaker have his appeal heard and having it determined with result by Thursday July 2, 2015 at 12pm.

The decision was was reached in Court yesterday afternoon with the consent of all legal counsels representing all parties involved in the case.

The consent was made by the Court to address the interest of all the parties involved in this important Constitutional Case involving Parliament, Government and the Opposition.

The Opposition is represented by Lawyer Ronald Warsal, and the Speaker of Parliament is represented by Lawyer Robin Kapapa and Gordon Avock and the Attorney General for the State.
