Principals advised not to suspend or withdraw students sitting examinations

All school principals in Vanuatu have been reminded to refrain from suspending or withdrawing students sitting examinations over outstanding school fees.

The reminder was issued by Director of Education Services, Samuel Katipa.

Mr Katipa acknowledged all Education Authority Boards, School Councils, Principals, Teachers and Parents who were able to adhere to Examination and Assessment rules and procedures in 2019.

“All students have the right to sit examinations and assessments,” he said.

“Any principals breaching this instruction must be reported urgently to the Provincial Education Offices or the Ministry of Education and Training.”

The Director of Education Services wished the students and teachers the best of luck in the remaining weeks of examinations.
