Over 50 Churches

(L-R) Chair lady Julie Walter and Pastor Tony James of PIEMN

More than 50 Churches within the region will unite together in Vanuatu for the Pacific Islands Evangelical and Missionary Network (PIEMN).

Vanuatu will host for the second time the event from December 3 to 9.

The event will be held at Manples Area in Port Vila.

Pastor Tony James told 96 Buzz FM reporter, Ms Kizzy Kalsakau that the event was originally scheduled to take place at Mele Village but the venue has now changed to Manples due to the easy access to various services there.

Vanuatu local churches affiliated under the Vanuatu Christian Council (VCC) will be part of this national event.

The theme for this year’s conference is the ‘great commission’ based on Matthew 28 vs 18-19.

Pastor James said preparations are well underway including flights finalized and hotels booked ready to host all the regional churches coming into Vanuatu.

Chairlady, Julie Walter, said there will be a huge parade from Moorings to Saralana to mark the official opening.

She said Minister for Internal Affairs, Alfred Maoh, will be part of the parade to mark the opening of the event.

The original idea of PIEMN was founded in Vanuatu 12 years ago and hosting the event this year in a much bigger scale will be a historical event.
