Minister Nirua’s Services Recognised

Head of State, Obed Moses Tallis has awarded the Minister of Education and Training (MoET), Jean Pierre Nirua with two medals.

The first is the 25th Independence of Vanuatu Silver Medal, and the second is for Long Service, recognising his teaching career in the Teaching Service.

25 other teachers and one civil servant were also awarded the 25th Independence of Vanuatu Silver Medal for their long service and for recognition of their work and contribution to the Vanuatu’s education sector.

Yesterday also marked the celebration of Public Service Commission (PSC) Day, Career Day and the World Teachers’ Day — which all coincided with the celebration of TAFEA Day in Blackman town, Lenakel Tanna.

Minister Nirua officiated the opening program of the events yesterday.

In the official program, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Andrew Napuat, was also present to deliver the official address to mark TAFEA Day and the three big events.

The President of TAFEA Province, the Secretary General of PSC, and the Chairman of PSC were also present.
