Digicel Vanuatu Welcomes New CEO

New Digicel Vanuatu CEO Deepak Khana and Melissa Dookie - Recruitment Manager, Pacific Group

Digicel Vanuatu yesterday announced the appointment of Deepak Khanna as their new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Khanna brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having recently served as Chief Executive Officer in Nauru, Tonga and CCO for Digicel Samoa.

Prior to joining Digicel, Khanna was the Head of Marketing for Bmobile — Vodafone, and was responsible for launching the Vodafone brand in PNG. Prior to that, he was Head of Sales & Marketing, Media Niugini Ltd- EMTV (Erstwhile CHANNEL 9), Papua New Guinea.

Ms Shally Jannif, Digicel Regional CEO, Pacific Group said; “Mr Khanna’s considerable wealth of knowledge and expertise in the Pacific has led to phenomenal growth in the markets he has served. His appointment to lead the business in Vanuatu, further underpins our commitment to deliver an exceptional communications and entertainment experience to our customers.”

Commenting on his new appointment, the new CEO said; “It is an absolute privilege to be appointed the CEO of Digicel Vanuatu and I am looking forward to working with my team and key stakeholders, to continue delivering a superior service to the people of Vanuatu.”

Mr Khanna assumed his new position yesterday, taking over from outgoing CEO, Ben Kealy.
