With an incentive to address the continuous relief and support program efforts towards the TC Harold and COVID-19 crisis within the country, the Coca Cola department under the Vanuatu Brewing Limited this week, donated a total of VT356,000 to the Vanuatu Red Cross (VRC).

The Vanuatu Red Cross has been providing and assisting TC Harold victims in the northern province.

TC Harold devastated the islands of Santo, Pentecost, Ambrym and Malo, and recovery efforts are still being addressed by the government, NGOs, private sector including communities throughout Vanuatu through relief support and assistances.

According to a statement, the donation received by the VRC will support the ongoing respond by VRC in providing relief to those affected by TC Harold and COVID-19.

VRC acknowledged the support from Coca Cola, represented by the Vanuatu Brewing Ltd, its official distributor in Vanuatu.

The dual crisis has greatly impacted the country a lot and with the government’s State of Emergency (SOE), once again, been extended, recovery efforts continue to roll out effectively.

The handing over ceremony took place at the VRC headquarter.
