Today, December 3 2019 is “International Day of People with Disability”.

This is a United Nations sanctioned day that is celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

In Santo, VDPA with the financial support from the Ministry of Justice and community will celebrate the “International Day of People with Disability” with all person’s with disability in Santo, World Vision, Red Cross, Volley 4 change, Family Protection Unit, Crime Prevention, Vanuatu Skills Partnership, Sanma Counselling Center, Save the Children, and Child Desk and other partner organizations.

The theme for this celebration is “The Future is Accessible.”

There will be awareness and booth activities such as Panel Discussion, DWA officer’s speech, First Aid Demonstration, Sitting Volley, and Talking Hand (Basic sign language) and more.
