50 Bills For Final Parliament Sittings

A total of 50 bills have been listed for Members of Parliament (MPs) to debate in the two final Parliament sittings in the 11th legislature.

The Second Extraordinary Session of Parliament will commence on November 25 to December 6, 2019. 24 bills are listed for this session.

These are listed as follows: Bill for the Disaster Risk Management Act No. of 2018; Bill for the Ozone Layer Protection Act No. 2019; Bill for the Forestry Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Foreign Investment Act No. 2019; Bill for the Protection of Traditional Knowledge and Expressions of Culture Act No.2019; Bill for the Employment (Amendment) Act No.of 2019; Bill for the Adoption Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Decentralization (Amendment) Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Municipalities (Amendment) Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Foreshore Development (Amendment) Act No.of 2019; Bill for the Ratification of certain Conventions and Protocols Act No. of 2019 and Bill for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and its Amendments (Ratification) Act No. of 2019.

The Bill for the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products (Ratification) Act No .of 2019 is also listed for the Second Extraordinary session of Parliament, followed by the Bill for the Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs (Amendment) Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Protocol amending the Marrakesh Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation (Ratification) Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Vanuatu Tourism Office (Amendment) Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Act No.of 2019; Bill for the Ratification of the Amendment to the US Treaty 2016 Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Ratification of the Vienna Convention on Representation of States in their Relations with International Organisations of a Universal Character 1975 Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Ratification of the World Intellectual Property Organisation Copyright Treaty Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Ratification of the World Intellectual Property Organization Performances and Phonograms Treaty Act No. of 2019; Bill for the Ratification of the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who are Blind, Visually Impaired of Otherwise Print Disabled Act No. of 2019, and Bill for the Ratification of the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performance Act No. of 2019.

For the Second Ordinary Session of Parliament scheduled for December 9-19, there are 26 bills altogether.
