15,000 Bibles for Vanuatu

Vanuatu has received 15,000 Bibles in English and French that will be freely distributed to schools, hospitals, prisons, hotels, motels and public and other institutions in the coming weeks.

The newly elected President of the Gideon Bible Ministry in Port Vila, Moses Stevens, confirms that half of the Bibles will go to Luganville, Santo for distributions in the northern town while the other half will be distributed in the capital Port Vila.

Vanuatu has been a recipient of the free Bible donations from the Gideon Bible Ministry International in the United States of America since the country gained independence in 1980.

Today, Vanuatu has two Gideon Camps, one being in Port Vila and the other being Luganville, Santo. There are plans to establish another Gideon Camp in other Provinces in future.

Since Vanuatu gained independence in 1980, over 50,000 Bibles have been distributed throughout the country and the country will continue to receive the free Bibles in English and French for distribution in Vanuatu in the coming years.

The Bibles in both English and French are King James Version (KJV).

Both English and French school students have benefited from the program since 1980.
