APTC working with Ministry of Education to promote literacy

Australia Pacific Training Coalition is working closely with Vanuatu’s Ministry of Education and Training to help promote literacy learning and early identification of reading difficulties to provide an inclusive learning environment for all children.

Vanuatu is celebrating the Literacy Week from September 9-13, 2019 with the theme “Yumi rid tugeta” (We read together).

Through the Certificate III in Education Support (CHC30213), students at APTC from Vanuatu, Nauru, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea are trained to embrace linguistic diversity, acknowledge the importance of early literacy and multi-sensory learning, and support their school community to address literacy challenges.

APTC acknowledges the support of all its partners as they collaborate to promote inclusive education in the Pacific.
