• Mi Harem Se big week in nuis with the breaking of the shipment of aggregate from China and subsequent ban by Bio-Security, even the politicians tried to influence, however the Bio boys stood firm and CCECC acquiesced to the demands and spun their story like true professionals in yesterday’s DP, round 1 to the Bio-Security. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se no room for fake nuis here in Vanuatu, even when the reports are reasonably tru as we saw this week over the shipment of aggregate, the Director of Bio-security said the story was true, but it did not come from him, talk about Chinese whispers. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se former MP Robert Bohn was quoted as saying a new wharf development is imminent opposite Lelepa Island to provide support for cruise ships into the future, nice to get some good nuis for a change. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se with the aggregate turning away many are wondering when the replacement aggregate will be here and what if any penalties will be applied to compensate the tourism sector for any future loss of earnings. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se seems the VTO have taken aim at Evergreen Resorts and Tours who employ over 60 staff and contribute directly some Vt5 million per month into the communities on Tanna, seems that the integrity of the managing director is getting under the VTO skin and they are disciplining her and punishing many others for simply doing what is right. Why would this VTO want to stop her being a witness by what amounts to extortion and was amplified by the VTO Lawyer. Aren’t you supposed to be the leaders in Tourism in Vanuatu? Talk about looking after your own. NOT. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se the accidental public release of the COI into the VNPF on Tuesdays 96 Buzz FM’s C&C program has caused a real stir, the Chairman of the Commission appeared live and raised public awareness, it’s a must read and a damning report that not only critiques the VNPF Board and Management but provides remedies and solutions to fix the same, at least one good came from the report, Our Money is SAFE. For the time being that is. The report can be reviewed on the DP website. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se USP is set to gets its canteen re-opened this coming week this nuis should make for many happy students and faculty members alike as it has been closed for so long making it hard for all and sundry to enjoy fresh nourishment on site. As they say, better late than never. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se VAN2017 is set to finalise all their contracts by the end of next week. Reports all is progressing well, still waiting on some more volunteers though to ensure a successful games, anyone interested should drop by the offices and put in their names, who knows what opportunities it will open for you get behind the VAN2017 team and make it happen. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se ProMed is always available to the public to make subscriptions, in both Luganville and Port Vila, remember it may save your life the more that join then the better they can service as they are a non-profit organisation. Workplace care is also available so get on down to Yvonne at headquarters and sign up today, it may just save your life. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se a spate of accidents last week in Santo led to local emergency medical facilities being stretched to the max, one accident however could have been avoided when a alleged drunk transport driver, after being told to go home by the police continued on and picked up some tourists only to roll the vehicle seriously injuring some, the police went to his house and severely reprimanded him for his efforts, then only a few hours later another group of members of the tourism sector also went to his house and reprimanded him again, seems like justice was served. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se some accidents can be avoided if people learn from their mistakes, perhaps a life could of been saved if lessons had of been learnt from previous experiences and better communication with authorities to ensure back up care is provided immediately not on a night switch. Lives matter on any Island. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se it is apparent in the corporate world that taken second best to save money will always bite you, seems clear that for top jobs one should engage the top person, it is unacceptable to even have a second tier based on remuneration when the past has proven that those less experienced can at that level cost more than the amount required to field the top candidate, respect the peoples cash and protect it with genuine competency not general inadequacies. It is our futures you are protecting, it’s not yours to belittle with your personal pettiness. Silip!

• Mi Harem Se Bio-Security had a tough week at the office, the result was outstanding proving that they take their work seriously and will stop at nothing to enforce the protection of our borders and future food security. Thanks guys you have been weighed and measured and NOT found wanting, way to go. Silip!
