VASANOC has decided to reduce the number of participants in the Vanuatu Team going to the Pacific Games in Samoa in July this year.

As the Pacific Games Association of Vanuatu, VASANOC has the exclusive rights for the participation of Vanuatu in these Games and to constitute, organize, lead and decide on entry of athletes/sports in Team Vanuatu.

In October and November 2017, VASANOC sent its criteria for Samoa2019 to its National Federations. In 2018, the same criteria was resent to NFs in June, published in Daily Post in March and raised in the two AGMs in April and November.

These are the criteria that will determine the cutting down of the numbers which will be based mainly on technical and administrative criteria.

The technical criteria included achievement in recent games and competitions. The administrative criteria is based mainly on memberships to VASANOC.

All National Federations have been made aware of this and a final decision will be made as soon as possible.
