10 teams participated in the BRED Bank 3x3 Tour- Stop 4

Last weekend, the players around Port Vila town made their way to Korman Stadium 1 to take part in the exciting game of 3x3 basketball. It was the 4th Stop of the BRED Bank 3x3 Tour and a total of 10 teams participated.

There was a total of 6 teams that participated in the Social Mixed Category while only 4 teams participated in the Elite Men category.

In the Social Mixed Category, Rudes and Leftovers 2 shared the top Spots in Pool A and B. Rudes defeated French Flair (10-7) while Leftovers 2 trounced Leftovers 1 (9-11) in the semi final round. The Leftovers nearly stole the game against the favored Rudes in the beginning. However, Team Rudes ended up undefeated winning the leftovers 2 (13-6)

In the Elite Men Category, What seems like a tightly contested ball game in the opening minutes slowly shifts to the advantage of Hot Sauce .Team Hot Sauce won on a high note defeating team Oma (9-6). This was Oma ‘s first time to reach final while Hot Sauce remains at the top of the elite men’s category ranked # 1

“The game was very challenging for us,” shared Manoah Moli, Hot Sauce player. “We had trainings for the National Squad throughout the week, not enough rest, and we had to play 7 straight games without reserves. But we managed to pull through in every game because this was what we were trained for. The result at the end was through team work and communication, and I am really proud of my team mates for that.” Manoah also acknowledged his 2 team mates, the Ricky’s for being the Power players in every match they played.

The 5th Stop of the BRED Bank Tour will be on the 14th of April 2019 and participants are already looking forward to what thrilling actions and results it will bring.
