PVFA supports Erakor with Vt200,000

Yesterday at the Port Vila Football Association (PVFA) Conference Room saw, PVFA President, Stephen Felix handing over Vt200,000 to the Erakor Golden Star FC, Team Manager Donald Wanemut.

The handing over just hours before the Ba FC crucial game was to motivate the Port Vila Football Association club players to go one more step higher.

“On behalf of all the PVFA clubs, we say thank yu to Erakor GS particularly the players and the coaches, please accept this contribution of Vt200,000 as our small way of expressing our support and solidarity with you as a PVFA member Club. Whatever the outcome of the tournament, please know that PVFA clubs have been together as one football family and we will continue to be so for the good of our community,” PVFA President, Felix said.

In return Erakor’s Team Manager, Donald Wanemut thanked the PVFA President and all the PVFA clubs for coming to recognize Erakor in their time of need.

Yesterday also saw the Local Organizing Committee for the 2019 OFC Champions League Group C, hand over 50% of the venue hire for the 3 matches to the Sports Commission CEO.

The total amount handed over was Vt1,074,212 taken from the gate takings of day 1.

With Day 2 yesterday, hopefully the LOC will look to have collected enought to pay out the remaining 50%.
