Tyrone Mann:

Appointed as Van2017 Catering Operations Advisor, Tyrone Mann is already engaged in planning the catering services.

“Being Catering Operations Advisor is to be a great planner, to deliver all goal marks on all tasks you set out to achieve. In theses types of events, double checking all lists daily and ensuring that all items are followed through at all times, in a given time frame, is everything. Team work & understanding each other’s needs throughout the workforce is also very important in this position as you are apart of every workforce’s daily needs. Catering logistics & risk management are the key responsibilities in the position and require General Business Management skills, a very sound background in catering logistics, Imports & food standards knowledge, International Health regulations, and a total understanding on Event Planning & Event implementation” said Mann.

Mr Mann is a qualified Chef with certificate 4 in Diploma in Business Management at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. His professional background lies in executive management of resorts & hotels, being executive chef, looking after operations as well as Export & Import.

Experienced in Culinary, Mann decided to join Van2017 because he is experienced in large volume international events such as the Australian Tennis Open and knew that the event would need a strong team. He felt that his services would come in handy and that this is a great opportunity to offer his skills also learn so many more operational skills.

“I think that Vanuatu will benefit a lot from the Pacific Mini Games, from world exposure to enhancement of the tourism industry. It will provide an income opportunity to the local people of Vanuatu. Hosting this sporting event will also help to develop sports and encourage the young groups within our communities to build friendships with fellow countrymen while building networks with our Pacific Countries.”
