The newly elected Athletics Vanuatu Executive

Executive Director for the Oceania Athletics Association (OAA), Yvonne Mullins has written a congratulatory email to the newly elected Executives of the Athletics Vanuatu (AV).

“Firstly I would like to say thank you to each of you for the warm welcome you offered to the OAA President, Geoff Gardner and IAAF Director, Governance and Member Federation Relations, Helen Delany and myself in Port Vila last week.

“It was a pleasure to join you at your meetings on both days and to see how far the Federation has come over the past 2 years.

“I would like to formally congratulate each of you on your election to the AV Committee – you have a big job ahead of you, but I am sure that together, as a team, you will succeed.

“The OAA is committed to continuing to assist your Federation and we look forward to working with you in the future,” Mullins stated in her email.

Again elected President Rex Issachar told Daily Sports that his re-election shows that he is on the right track, and with the backing of OAA and IAAF, 2019 will see AV go one step further and hopefully if all goes well, Vanuatu Athletics will host this year a first time ever International Marathon.
