Minister Seule confirms support for Vanuatu Rugby Union

Oceania Rugby rep, Vanuatu Rugby Union reps and Minister Seule.

Oceania Rugby representative accompanies by the Vanuatu Rugby Union President, John Miller Tapararua and Secretary General Jeffery Wilfred paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Youth Development and Sports Seule Solomon, to introduce the Oceania Rugby Union (ORU)plans in developing rugby in Vanuatu.

ORU confirmed that they have identified Vanuatu as a potential country to develop both men and women rugby ranging from primary schools to the national level.

The Minister thanked the team and made mentioned that this a first visit since he took up office for a rugby delegation to meet him.

He made it clear that the government of the day through the successful mini games will always support youth, men and women in sport and stressed the importance of effective plannining and reporting and with this he affirmed the government through his ministry to support our young people in sport. The Minister was briefed the women rugby team will be attending the Oceania Rugby on November to be held in Fiji, and again stressed that his office will facilitate any means of support they can but again all respective channels of consultations and avenues has to be met by the Vanuatu Rugby Union.
