Leon Hardware (LH) is another new sponsor for the Mauwia Football Club.

The club president, Mr Jack San said that the sponsorship was announced on Thursday afternoon during the handing over of a cheque at the Leon Hardware.

“I want to say a big thank you to LH for stepping in as the clubs sponsor for the next three years,” he said.

The Leon Hardware’s marketing Manager, Thomas Lin, handed over an amount of Vt150,000 to the Mauwia FC’s President, Jack San and Head Coach, Mr Gerrard McColgan.

“This has secured the club financially for the next three years and is our second sponsor.

The other sponsor is Wantok, so it is a good step for our club,” said Mr McColgan.

Mr San said that Mauwia FC is a very hardworking football team as it keeps improving each year.

“Mauwia FC is under the Port Vila Football Association (PVFA) and this is the third since its establishment- we have just entered the Premier League,” he said.

“It is good timing that we invest in a club with committed players that has a promising future.”

The LH Marketing Manager, Mr Lin said that the sponsorship is for the next three years and there will be an increase in the sponsorship in the future.

“This sponsorship will go towards the new 2017/2018 season,” he said.

Mauwia FC Team Manager in response assured the LH representative that in the new season, Mauwia FC is ready to face any challenge in the Digicel 2017/2018 season.
