Former Vanuatu residents Lloyd and Christine Geater-Johnson were recently in Vanuatu to present uniforms to Vanuatu Netball Association.

The uniforms have been proudly donated by Central Yorke Netball Club located in Maitland South Australia. Some of the members of the club have spent holidays in Vila enjoying the hospitality of the people and visiting places of interest.

Vanuatu Netball conveys sincere gratitude to Central Yorke Netball Club which also joins an exclusive list of netball clubs from Australia that have kindly donated netball uniforms to the Association.

The uniforms have been delivered to the President of Sanma Netball Association (SNA), Lindy Thompson told Daily Sports that, “On behalf of SNA we warmly thank our netball friends from Central Yorke Netball Club for the uniforms. We are excited to receive the uniforms in due course.

“These uniforms will be put to great use by the local clubs in Sanma”, concluded Thompson.

On their part the Geater-Johnsons said they were happy their community have in a small way helped Santo.

The Geater-Johnsons are no strangers to Vanuatu.

They lived here in both Vila for 3 years from 1988 to 1990 when Lloyd was employed by ANZ Bank then.

Lloyd has a heart for Santo where he had worked six to eight weeks of those years.
