Vanuatu was humbled by Indonesia on Saturday at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta with a score of 6-0.
Vanuatu's senior squad made the trip to Indonesia in their last match before going to the Pacific Games in Samoa.
The Indonesian squad is under Scottish coach Simon McMenemy.
This is coach McMeney's third match as the head coach.
They faced rivals Myanmar and won the match with a score of 2-0 back in March.
Before the match with Vanuatu, Indonesia had lost 4-1 to Jordan at King Abdullah International Stadium in Amman on June 11.
Indonesia is a member of the Asian Football Confederation along with with Australia and other associations from Asian countries.
Vanuatu recently faced Tahiti and Fiji.
The national team beat Tahiti and drew with Fiji.
Vanuatu is currently ranked 163rd in the latest FIFA World Rankings, and Indonesia is 160th.
The International friendly match in Indonesia was arranged through the world governing football body, FIFA and the Oceania Football Confederation.
Vanuatu will face Papua New Guinea in their opening match in the men’s football competition at the Pacific Games on July 11.
