The Vanuatu delegation that is currently in Qingdao, China, have been assured of enhancing the potentials in the industries of Tourism and Fisheries.
Yesterday morning the delegation met with the dignitaries of Communist Party of China (CPC) Quingdao Municipal Committee and they also visited and held talks with officials from the Oceanic Fisheries Company.
Qingdao is attracting many tourists due to its seaside setting and weather. It boasts of its parks, beaches, sculptures and unique German and modern architecture.
The city of Qingdao is the largest city in the province of Shandong. It is situated on the east coast of China and is rich of its marine resources.
Like Qingdao, Vanuatu is also utilising its marine resources to source income. It has been highlighted in the exchanges that should Vanuatu place great effort in the fishing industry, it will definitely boost that particular industry.
Tousrism is currently the fastest growing sector and is the main contributor towards the country’s economy in Vanuatu.
The representatives from both institutions that met the Vanuatu leaders have declared their positions to further enhance the partnership and strengthen relations in engaging between Vanuatu and Qingdao towards boosting the sectors of tourism and fisheries.
