Unelco through its Human Resource section has allocated a whole day for its staff to undergo Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) screening, undertaken by the Department of Health staff.

Human Resource Manager, Anatol Imak said a healthy lifestyle is everybody’s business and the well-being of their staff is a priority “to ensure they are healthy, as at the end of the day, they could provide a good service and customers would be happy”.

Unelco has recently donated a cholesterol machine to the Department of Health. An agreement was made for Health staff to conduct the NCD screening exercise.

Unelco set aside half day on Wednesday and Friday this week for the medical checkup for its employees.

Mr. Imak said while they are supporting a healthy environment for their employees, Unelco is also joining the Government to fight against NCD in Vanuatu.
