A disruption to the Telecom Vanuatu Limited (TVL) mobile network yesterday has left customers unable to communicate.

The disruption was reportedly experienced throughout Vanuatu. Customers were unable to make calls for several hours since 2pm yesterday.

Customers lost call and SMS service but not the internet.

The TVL Management clarified via its Face book page:

“A severe power problem has caused unplanned outages on both fixed and mobile network services.

“Technical teams are working to restore back services as soon as possible and measures are being taken to prevent recurrences on the TVL network.”

TVL apologized for the disruption caused.
