Vanuatu joined other Commonwealth countries to celebrate yesterday the 92nd birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

The celebration in Vanuatu took place last night at the New Zealand High Commissioner’s residence at Tassiriki.

The British High Commissioner, David Ward, was also present as well as the Head of State, Obed Tallis, Prime Minister Charlot Salwai, members of the diplomatic corps, and invited guests.

During his speech the Mr Ward officially announced the reopening of the British High Commission in Vanuatu in early 2019.
