Port Vila International School (PVIS) is offering an Information Night highlighting the benefits of enrolling in the internationally recognised Senior Secondary qualifications available at the school and the programs on offer in 2020.
Port Vila International School Principal, Mrs Sarah Chambers, is delighted to invite parents of students in Years 10 to 12 the opportunity to attend the Senior Secondary Information Night at the school next Wednesday 12 June.
“This is fantastic opportunity for parents and students currently enrolled elsewhere to find out more about the internationally recognised Senior Secondary programs offered at PVIS.”
This night is designed to provide advice and support for PVIS students and their families to plan their studies and future pathways and is open to all in the community who would like more information about the SACE International Certificate and the potential pathways available to PVIS future graduates.
Mrs Chambers said, “In 2019, PVIS will have its first Secondary School graduates who will complete their SACE International Certificate and gain an internationally recognised Australian Tertiary Entrance Ranking that allows them to apply for a university place in Australia, New Zealand, and further afield. Additionally, USP has recognised the advanced level of secondary school completion and PVIS graduates will be eligible to apply for degree level study at USP.”
This is of massive benefit to families, as students are not required to study 2 to 3 years of foundation studies and can more readily access international studies.
Additionally, Mrs Chambers remarked, “PVIS is committed to providing our students with the information they need to make educated and informed choices about their future career pathways. On August 2, we will host our first PVIS Careers Expo with representatives from organisations in Port Vila available to discuss career options with senior students. This expo will be open to all senior secondary students in Port Vila.” More information will be available in the coming weeks.
“PVIS is proud to be providing quality, internationally recognised education, supporting students to achieve their best through in a nurturing and inclusive environment,” said Mrs Chambers.
