Job Esau

Vanuatu’s Acting Police Commissioner, Job Esau, is calling on the public in Port Vila to show respect during these games.

“It is important that when you enter Korman, this area is a smoke free zone.

“This means that no cigarette smoking is allowed inside the area.

“This applies to other fields of play.

“I strongly remind everyone that we must respect these rules.

“We are here to give the support, but we must follow the rules in place,” he said.

He said cigarette can only be smoked outside of the venue areas. Alcohol is also prohibited from these areas. The police and security will be tough in ensuring that the rules are enfornced.

Mr Esau said the police will be patrolling all stalls and other areas to ensure that the rules are enforced. Changing the mind set in times like this is very important for everyone. There are different rules that govern these different venues for the games and these rules needed to be respected.
