The Opposition bloc in Parliament has sent an appreciation message to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Seule Simeon, the Ministry of Youth and Sports cabinet team, VASANOC and the Van2017 Organizing Committee, for what it described as “spectacular Opening of the 10th Pacific Mini Games”.

“The event was the best organized in living memory and will be talked about in years to come.

“The chronological order of events portraying our evolving and diverse cultural heritage, water music, traditional dancing verses modern hip-hop performance, world class singing and rap performances, the breath taking singing of the national anthem, fire dancing and culminating with a spectacular fireworks display all contributed to making a lasting impact on everyone who was present or viewed the ceremony through national TV and social media outlets,” Opposition Leader Ishmael Kalsakau expressed.

“Minister Seule, the Opposition bloc salutes you and your team for a job well done and wish all the athletes from across the Pacific good luck in all the respective sporting events and may the best team win,” MP Kalsakau, expressed to Minister Seule, in the Opposition appreciation statement.

To Team Vanuatu, Opposition Leader, MP Ishmael Kalsakau states “the office of the Opposition salutes you all and know that your diligence, patience, persistence, sweat and tears over the last few months will pay off. Vanuatu is divided on many issues but for once the whole of Vanuatu is united together behind Team Vanuatu. Go for Gold Vanuatu and make us proud,” he said.
