National Kindy Day a success

The 2018 National Kindy Day celebration was a success.

Some of the parents who came out to have a little fun with their children were reminded about the importance of teaching children how to behave appropriately at an early age.

It was a great way for preschool children in Port Vila to get together to celebrate the National Kindy Day.

Messages about teaching children the basics of good behavior were based on the theme of the event: ‘Raising children up in good behavior and discipline’.

Parents are the main influence in children’s lives.

Displays, poems and songs given out by children from each school were an inspiration and reminder to parents not to fail to love them and to teach them to grow into future leaders.

Children are the most valuable resources of the country.

This is why the government, through the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has set June 12 every day as the National Kindy Day to recognise the importance of early childhood education.

This year’s National Kindy Day organised by the Port Vila Early Childhood Association was more successful compared to last year’s event which was commemorated in different zones.
