Ministry seeking legal advice on MoU with Phoenix Life Sciences International

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity, is seeking legal advice from the State Law Office (SLO) on Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Vanuatu Government and Phoenix Life Sciences International.

Private Advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Levi Tarosa, advised that although the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity has signed the MOU with the Phoenix Life Sciences, the Ministry is seeking further legal advice from the SLO on the MoU.

“It is likely the MoU will be revoked by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity, pending the advice we are seeking from the State Law Office,” he told the Daily Post.

Mr. Tarosa was commenting on an article on the signing of the MoUs that was published in the Daily Post issue yesterday (Friday).
