Youths from Kokoreko in Manples area have completed the construction of a 200 metre concrete road in their area, an answer to the community’s long time road woes.

Ever since Independence, Manples, like many peri-urban settlements around Port Vila experienced poor road conditions that at times, bus drivers would refuse to drive to the area.

According to Johnny Walker, a resident of Kokoreko, construction works commenced at the end of September and completed on Tuesday this week.

He commended the Government through Minister of Public Infrastructure, Jotham Napat for approving and allocating fund towards the road construction.

He also thanked the community of Kokoreko, particularly the youths for dedicating their time to complete a standard work in time.
