The man who used a knife to attack and critically injured three other men on Malo last Sunday, is now in police custody.
Daily Post was informed that he turned himself in to police at the Luganville Police Station and was detained in police custody before he was transferred to the Correctional Services.
He is currently waiting for charges to be laid against him, before court proceedings.
The Luganville Police Station confirmed the man has surrendered and is in the authorities’ care for safety reasons before his appearance in court.
Sources from Malo said news of the weekend attack shocked the whole community.
An eyewitness said the man brutally attacked three others in the dark when they were drinking alcohol.
The three victims were critically injured and were transported by boat to the Northern Provincial Hospital (NPH) in Luganville.
An emergency evacuation was then organised by NPH for them to be evacuated to Vila Central Hospital where they are currently recovering.
