Panelists of Kava Forum

“The outcome of the first ever Kava Festival Forum 2018 is being put together and will be circulated very shortly among important stakeholders for validation and action”.

Kava Specialist Peter Hake Kwari of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the assurance to assure all stakeholders of the potential outcome of the event held at the Convention Centre on October 25.

The Department of Tourism, Department of Industry, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Biosecurity, Vanuatu Cultural Centre and Vanuatu Tourism Office all participated in the Forum.

“The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity believes that the Forum has developed a platform and way forward for the Government and all the stakeholders in the Kava Industry to address issues concerning kava as a commodity”, the Kava Specialists says.

“Without our partners and sponsors it will be not be possible for us (committees) to deliver a high quality event in a limited period of time”.

He says with confidence that MALFFB looks forward to working in collaboration with them all to continue to promote the Noble Kava Varieties and protecting its market in the near future.
