Japan to provide emergency assistance for Ambae people

On October 5, 2017, the Government of Japan decided to provide emergency relief goods (Plastic sheets (120), Blankets (1,200)) through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Vanuatu in response to the damage caused by the eruption of Monaro volcano on Ambae Island.

The Government of Japan decided to provide emergency assistance from a humanitarian point of view as well as in light of the friendly relationship between the two countries.
