Interchange Cable Ltd (ICL) has handed a cheque of Vt20 million to the Minister of Finance and Economic Management, Gaetan Pikioune yesterday afternoon as its dividend payment.

Speaking on behalf of ICL CEO Simon Fletcher, Business Development Management Officer Milroy Cainton explained that the Vt20million is a “reduction of accrual preferential shares for the Government by the ICL.”

In his remarks, Minister Pikioune said, “the Government has big expectations and must implement its revenue initiatives.”

The engagement with ICL will help review legislations, help and analyse prerequisites that must be addressed in Vanuatu.

The revenue will support government enterprises and services.
