lfira Land Corporation Limited, a subsidiary company under the lfira Trustees Limited is now putting investment on lands owned by the Company towards agricultural and commercial Activities for the future benefits of the lfira Community.

With the Vanuatu Government Planning Strategy to raise more cattle (Livestock), Ifira Trustees through its subsidiary company will now put more field & ground-work in raising cattle on Efate including other islands where possible.

According to sources from lfira Land Management Office, the first batch of 20 heifers and 1 bull are now being moved to Moala Farm, North Efate on Thursday September 6.

Ifira Senior Land Enforcement Officer, Alick Kalmelu reiterated that another cattle project will be located at Teouma area with possible extension to the islands of Malekula, Epi and Erromango.

Ifira Livestock farming includes piggery and chickens/ducks while root crops, kava and aqua-culture are also in the line.

"We have a delegation currently on Santo to negotiate plans of a kava farm around available areas on the island of Santo," Kalmelu said.

lfira Community Projects are funded by the lfira Land Corporation Limited.
