The Graon mo Jastis Pati (GJP) has continued to boost its numbers in the SHEFA Provincial Government Council (SPGC).
The latest addition to GJP is Councilor Efron Jimmy from the Makira/Mataso constituency, bringing the total number of GJP councilors from the Efate Rural constituency to 5.
The move also indicates more support for GJP MP, Gillion William.
Councilor Jimmy, who was previously affiliated with the Vanuatu Labour Party performed a custom ceremony to join GJP last Friday.
The councilor said he believes in transparency, accountability and good leadership and he is happy to join GJP.
GJP Vice President and Minister of Internal Affairs, Andrew Napuat welcomed councilor Jimmy and assured that GJP will assist him like other councilors to meet the needs of the community and supporters.
Minister Napuat told councilor Jimmy that despite his decision to affiliate with GJP, all political parties have one objective – priority to serve the people.
MP Gillion thanked councilor Jimmy and exchanged mats with him, both agreed to work on important community projects and address the needs of the people.
