The ballot papers for this year’s provincial elections are printed by Sun Productions, one of Vanuatu’s leading printing company.

Over 4 million ballot papers have been printed at a cost of Vt19.8 miliion.

It was necessary to start printing before signing the contract due to short timing.

Just yesterday, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Alfred Maoh, and a representative from the printing company put pens to paper in the presence of the Principal Electoral Officer (PEO), Father Charles Vatu.

Printing of all ballot papers should be completed yesterday.

According to PEO Vatu, delivery begins today (Saturday) until March 20.

The four provinces going to poll next week, March 23, are Penama, Malampa, Shefa and Tafea.

Sun Production was awarded contract to print the ballot papers following tender submission to the Tender Board.
